Why do we believe in the Rapture? Is it really taught in the Bible?
The above video is the first in what I intend to be a series on why we believe in the pre-Tribulation Rapture. In this first video, I establish the biblical basis for such an event apart from putting it into a specific time in relation to the Tribulation.
In future videos, I will take my viewers step by step in the process of establishing evidence that points to placing the Rapture before the start of the seven-year Tribulation.
Why Is It Important to Understand What the Bible Says About the Rapture?
Here are five reasons why it’s important to understand what the Bible says about Jesus’ Appearing:
Paul instructs us to encourage and build up one another based on the words he wrote about the event we call the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:18, 5:12).
Jesus instructs us to watch for His return (Matthew 24:36-44). Is it not important that we know what to watch for?
Biblical teaching on the Rapture comforts us during times of loss and grief. I know of no other consolation for believers than that what the Bible says about Jesus’ appearing.
Understanding the Rapture keeps our focus on eternity by continually reminding us that this world is not our home.
Those who deny the Rapture or combine it with the Second Coming do not believe we live in the last days and lack perspective of understanding our times based on Bible prophecy.
